For a week in Samoa with maps, messages and email, the 1 GB plan for 7 days (Rs 2,500) is usually enough. With social media and video, expect to use 3 to 5 GB per week: the 5 GB plan for 30 days costs Rs 8,560. For heavy use or work, unlimited plans start at Rs 3,390 for 3 days.
Which networks does the Samoa eSIM use?
The Samoa eSIM works on the Digicel network, with up to 4G speeds where available.
The unlimited plan is regional: it works in 8 countries, including Samoa, and its validity period starts when the eSIM connects to a network in any of them. On this plan, you get up to 4G LTE on Digicel.
Does the Samoa eSIM come with a phone number?
No. Samoa eSIM plans are data only. WhatsApp stays on your usual number, and you can keep your primary SIM in your phone.
How much data do I need for 15 days in Samoa?
With maps, messages and email, expect to use about 1 GB per week: the 2 GB plan for 15 days costs Rs 4,450. With social media and video, it's more like 3 to 5 GB per week: the 10 GB plan for 30 days costs Rs 13,170.
eSIM, local SIM or roaming: which is best for Samoa?
An eSIM does the job of a local SIM card, but you install it before you fly, with nothing to pick up and no need to remove your primary SIM. For Samoa, plans start at Rs 2,500. With roaming, you pay whatever your network charges; with the eSIM, you know the price before you travel.
Can I top up without switching eSIMs?
On most plans, yes: you top up the same eSIM from your account or the Wavee app, with no new QR code and nothing to install. The top-up screen shows the plans that work with your eSIM.
Can I use my phone as a hotspot?
Usually yes, but it depends on the plan and the local network. If it matters for your trip, talk to us before you buy.
What if I can't use the eSIM?
You have up to 30 days after purchase to request a refund. If the eSIM has not been activated yet, we refund the full amount, whatever the reason (cancelled trip, incompatible or locked phone). If it's activated but doesn't work, our support team helps you fix it; if we don't solve it within 10 days, we refund everything or the unused part.
