Israel eSIM

For a week in Israel with maps, messages and email, the 1 GB plan for 7 days (R 72) is usually enough. With social media and video, expect to use 3 to 5 GB per week: the 5 GB plan for 30 days costs R 246. For heavy use or work, unlimited plans start at R 220 for 3 days. If you need to make calls or receive texts, there are plans with a phone number from R 128.

The Israel eSIM works on the Annatel network, with up to 5G speeds where available.

Yes. Choose “Data, calls & texts” and you get a phone number, 10 to 200 minutes and SMS, depending on the plan. On data-only plans, WhatsApp stays on your usual number.

The validity period starts once the eSIM connects to any supported network. You must activate the eSIM within 90 days of purchase. Only local calls are supported.

With maps, messages and email, expect to use about 1 GB per week: the 2 GB plan for 15 days costs R 125. With social media and video, it's more like 3 to 5 GB per week: the 10 GB plan for 30 days costs R 403. If you'd rather not track your usage, 15 days of unlimited data costs R 841, or R 1 008 for Premium.

An eSIM does the job of a local SIM card, but you install it before you fly, with nothing to pick up and no need to remove your primary SIM. For Israel, plans start at R 72, and 30 days of unlimited data costs R 1 374 (R 45,80 per day). With roaming, you pay whatever your network charges; with the eSIM, you know the price before you travel.

On most plans, yes: you top up the same eSIM from your account or the Wavee app, with no new QR code and nothing to install. The top-up screen shows the plans that work with your eSIM.

Usually yes, but it depends on the plan and the local network. If it matters for your trip, talk to us before you buy.

You have up to 30 days to request a refund in eligible cases: a cancelled trip, an incompatible or locked phone, or an eSIM that doesn't connect. We review every request, and our support team will first try to fix the problem with you on WhatsApp or by email.
