Coverage, carriers and speed are shown on the product page itself, before you buy. And what counts is the included-countries list, not the plan name.
Where to check before buying
- 01
Open the destination product
Look for the country or region in the eSIM store.
- 02
Check the included countries
Under the coverage tab, make sure every destination is on the list, layovers included.
- 03
Check the carriers
The list shows which local networks the eSIM connects to in each country and the technology available, 4G/LTE or 5G.
How to read the carrier list
Seeing a carrier from another country on the list is not a mistake. On a regional package the same eSIM connects to the networks of every covered country, so they all appear together.
Speed is not guaranteed. It depends on the local carrier, the region, the device and the signal at that moment: in the same country you may get 5G downtown and 4G on the road.
Frequently asked questions
Does the eSIM pick the carrier on its own?
It does. The device connects to the partner network with the best signal. If it gets stuck on a poor network, you can turn off automatic selection under mobile network settings and pick another carrier from the list.
Can I make calls and send texts?
It depends on the plan: most are data only. In that case, use internet calling apps. What each plan includes is on the product page.
Do I need 5G?
For maps, messaging and streaming, 4G is plenty. 5G helps with heavy downloads, and not every destination offers 5G on partner networks.
