Some eSIMs need an APN; when yours does, the value shows on the eSIM detail in My eSIMs. Create it under Access Point Names, in the eSIM settings, and select it.

If it still doesn't connect, pick the network manually
In the eSIM settings, turn off automatic network selection and pick the local carrier shown under Coverage and networks, on the eSIM in My eSIMs.
Turning roaming on FOR THE WAVEE LINE does not trigger charges from your home carrier: a roaming bill would come from your home SIM, so keep roaming off on it during the trip.
3. If something goes wrong
- 01
It may already be installed
A refused QR code often means the eSIM already went in on an earlier attempt. Open your SIM settings (the path is in your brand's tab, under 1. Install) and look for an eSIM on the list, possibly turned off. Not sure it is ours? Compare the ICCID in My eSIMs with the one your phone shows under About phone, in the SIM status. If it is ours, the eSIM is already installed: rename it to Wavee and go to 2. Activate.
- 02
Connect to Wi-Fi
Installing downloads the eSIM over the internet. Connect to a stable Wi-Fi network and scan the QR code again.
- 03
Check that the phone supports eSIM
Dial *#06# on the phone keypad: a 32-digit EID means the device has eSIM. If nothing shows up, look for EID under Settings › About phone before giving up. Some models sold in certain countries ship without eSIM, and a phone bought with a carrier plan may be locked to that carrier: if so, ask the carrier to unlock it. Check your model on the compatible phones list.
- 04
Do not delete it to try again
A deleted eSIM usually cannot be installed again. If nothing above helped, reach us on WhatsApp at +55 41 99569-2535 or by email at help@wavee.global, with a screenshot of the error message.
At home, no service on the Wavee line is normal: the eSIM only finds a network in a covered country. At your destination, work through these in order:
- 01
Check that the country is in your plan
In My eSIMs, open the eSIM and tap Coverage and networks. A regional or global plan covers a list of countries; a local plan covers only its own country. Outside the list, the eSIM has no network.
- 02
Check the settings from step 2
In your brand's tab under 2. Activate: the Wavee eSIM on, data roaming on for it, Wavee chosen for data and, if your eSIM uses an APN, the APN filled in.
- 03
Airplane mode for 30 seconds
Turn on airplane mode, wait 30 seconds and turn it off. The phone searches for a network again.
- 04
Restart the phone
Turn it off and on again, and give it a few minutes to find a signal.
- 05
Pick the network manually
Follow the last step of your brand's tab under 2. Activate, picking the local carrier shown under Coverage and networks.
- 06
APN won't save?
If your phone won't create the APN (you tap Save and it doesn't show up on the list), the problem is usually the eSIM installation, not the phone: something failed while it was downloading, such as the internet dropping halfway. This is the only case in which we advise removing the eSIM: remove it from the phone and install it again with the same QR code, on a stable Wi-Fi network. If the APN still won't save, reach us on WhatsApp at +55 41 99569-2535 or by email at help@wavee.global so we can issue a new eSIM.

Frequently asked questions
Can I install it before traveling?
Yes, and we recommend it. Installing needs internet, and validity only starts on first use in a covered country.
The phone asks for an activation code
Some models ask for an activation code together with the QR. It is in the PDF guide attached to the order email and on the eSIM page in My eSIMs, next to the SM-DP+ address. If the phone asks for a code that is not there, write to us.
Can I use the eSIM and my home SIM at once?
Yes. Both lines stay active; you only choose which one uses the internet.
