My eSIM has no internet. What should I do?

Quick checklist to fix no connection at your destination.

Updated on May 13, 2026

An installed eSIM with no connection is almost always configuration, not a fault. Work through the steps below in order: each one rules out a cause, and most cases are solved in the first three.

Checklist in the right order

  1. 01

    Confirm the country is covered

Open the eSIM under My eSIMs and check the included-countries list. Outside it there is no partner network to connect to.

  2. 02

    Turn the Wavee line on

iPhone: Settings › Cellular, select the Wavee line and switch on Turn On This Line. Android: Settings › Network and internet › SIMs and enable the line.

  3. 03

Set Wavee as the data line

iPhone: Settings › Cellular › Cellular Data and select Wavee. Android: under SIM settings, mark Wavee as the mobile data line.

  4. 04

Turn on data roaming for the Wavee line

That is how the eSIM uses partner networks. Without roaming, the eSIM has no network abroad.

  5. 05

    Force a new network search

Toggle airplane mode on and off, or restart the device.

  6. 06

    Pick the carrier manually

Under mobile network settings, turn off automatic selection and choose one of the partner carriers on the list.

Do not delete the eSIM to reinstall it. The profile is single use: deleting solves nothing and creates a new problem, because the same eSIM cannot be installed again.

Symptoms and what they mean

It shows No Service right after installing

That is expected before you arrive: the eSIM only finds a network in a covered country. At home it stays without service, and that is not a fault.

It connects, but no site loads

Usually the wrong line is selected for data. On iPhone, also check Allow Cellular Data Switching: with it on, the device slips back to your home SIM by itself.

Could the data have run out?

Check usage under My eSIMs. The figure is refreshed periodically, so it can be a few minutes behind actual use.

I tried everything and still have no internet

Write to us with the country you are in, your device model and a photo of the network settings screen. That tells us whether the problem is the profile or the local network.
